Associations and clubs receive a clear "roadmap" on where to start—from establishing an organization-wide ESG strategy and calculating the carbon footprint of a club or event, through legal and compliance reviews, to practical steps such as energy audits and effective waste management. This also includes connections to relevant suppliers and experts, enabling the rapid implementation of measures without the need to build internal capacity.

ESG Strategy for Sports Clubs
A comprehensive ESG framework tailored to a sports association or club. The service includes identifying key topics (energy, fan mobility, waste, governance), designing an ESG roadmap, defining KPIs, and preparing for regulatory requirements (CSRD/ESRS, where applicable). For associations, the service also includes a framework for member clubs—common standards, methodology, and coordination across the league or federation. It also includes a practical “action menu,” where the organization receives a prioritized list of steps—ranging from quick wins to long-term initiatives.

Carbon Footprint Calculation (CO₂)
Detailed calculation of emissions in Scope 1, 2, and relevant Scope 3 categories (e.g., fan transportation, catering, merchandising). Methodologically, we adhere to both generally accepted industry standards (GHG Protocol) and sport-specific requirements—such as UEFA’s methodology for calculating CO₂ emissions for sports organizations. We provide this service to both service organizations and associations, as well as directly to sports clubs, including the calculation of emissions for individual events and matches. We use a combination of activity-based and spend-based methodologies with auditable emission factors (DEFRA, ecoinvent, etc.). The output includes an emissions overview, a hotspot analysis, and a proposal for specific decarbonization measures.

Compliance & Operational ESG Tools
Support in the area of legal and operational requirements: validation of ESG documentation, preparation of internal guidelines, energy audits (energy consumption at stadiums and training centers), and waste management systems (“zero-waste sports”), including recommendations for suppliers and technological solutions. This also includes connections to verified partners (energy, waste management, reporting). For ESG managers at sports clubs and associations, we offer educational support—ranging from individual one-on-one training to larger seminars and workshops focused on the practical implementation of ESG in the sports environment.
