 CBAM

From 2024, importers of steel, cement, aluminum, and other commodities will be required to report their carbon footprint on a quarterly basis. Greenometer will take care of all your CBAM reporting needs—without any unnecessary paperwork.

What We Do

AI-powered sustainability reporting platform

01

CBAM Implementation

We start with an initial analysis and process setup, including communication with customs authorities. We collect and classify data, determine the scope of materials according to CBAM, and validate suppliers and countries of origin. We prepare your first CBAM report and train your team so they know exactly what to do next.

02

Monitoring and reporting

Every quarter, we collect and evaluate data on direct and indirect emissions. We help suppliers provide the correct emission factors, communicate with customs authorities, and prepare ongoing reports. Thanks to automation, the entire process is faster, more reliable and auditable.

03

Protecting your business

At the end, you will receive complete CBAM reports, transparent methodology, and auditable data stored in accordance with EU requirements. The outputs will give you confidence during inspections and protect your business from the risk of sanctions or goods being blocked.

We know what AI does not tell you

Identification of CBAM Products

AI cannot legally guarantee the classification of goods under the customs tariff. Without human verification, there is a risk of misidentifying commodities (iron, aluminum, plastics), leading to rejected customs declarations and penalties.

Calculation of Specific Embedded Emissions

AI cannot calculate actual emissions (direct and indirect) from production processes in non-EU countries on its own. Without human verification of technological processes, it generates indefensible data that will not pass a European audit.

Vetting of Suppliers

AI cannot manage the collection of emissions data for input materials (precursors) from foreign suppliers.

Report Submission

AI will not detect methodological errors in declarations, nor will it ensure the correct accounting of carbon taxes paid in the country of origin.
